For those applications that demand better precision and guaranteed DC specifications over temperature, Analog Devices offers a new family of 16-bit delta sigma ADCs. The LTC2450 and LTC2460 are a family of single 16-bit delta sigma ADCs that offer a choice of SPI or I²C interfaces, as well as single-ended or differential analog inputs. A wide variety of sensors can make use of these ADCs for accurate readings. The small size of the LTC2450 and LTC2460 makes them ideal for space-constrained and compact boards that need to measure such conditions as temperature, supply voltage, current, or flow, to name just a few. These ADCs are low cost and offer 16-bits no missing codes, making it an easy decision to replace a poor performing ADC in a microcontroller.
