For door or lid position detection in white good applications, the sensor senses either the open or closed position of a door or lid. To accomplish this, design engineers will require low power consumption for energy efficiency, and high durability as the moving parts should not cause the sensor to break. A temperature range up to 85˚C (185 °F) is necessary, and the solution must be cost competitive.
