Harwin’s SMT PCB sockets are a low profile single piece design that take up minimal space on the board and are ready for auto placement during the SMT phase. Designed for field-replaceable modules with odd-form termination layouts such as sensors. The different sockets are designed to hold a variety of pin sizes and are available in several different options. The tin over nickel plated SMT socket has two points of contact and can hold round or square pins. Harwin’s gold plated SYCAMORE contact has three points of contact and offers top and bottom entry options. The SMT sockets are great for high volume applications and are an alternative to traditional turned PCB sockets. Ideal for temperature sensitive components which can be added after the reflow process.
