The power analysis software option for the HDO4000 oscilloscopes helps users home in on measurement and analysis of the operating characteristics of power-conversion devices and circuits. It provides automatic detection and measurement of turn-on and turn-off times as well as conduction losses. Areas of power loss are clearly delineated by a color-coded waveform overlay. Thanks to a streamlined UI, users are guided through various stages of analysis. There are operating modes for power-switching device measurements, control-loop modulation analysis, and line-power harmonics.
