ASP’s, or application specific products, are modified or custom products. Modifying existing products and designing and building new products are a Samtec specialty. Modifications include small changes like different platings, custom stack heights, non standard packaging, and multiple polarization, to name a few. For that matter, Samtec can design and build a completely new connector from the ground-up to satisfy most board-to-board connection requirements.
