Renesas' 8.2 mm photocouplers reduce board size for industrial automation applications
Renesas' RV1S92xxA/22xxA 8 mm class creepage and clearance photocouplers help designers reduce the mounting area by up to 35% while still meeting the reinforced insulation safety standards of AC 200 V systems per UL61800-5-1 (motor drive equipment) and UL61010-2-201 [control devices such as PLCs (programable logic controllers)]. The small size gives designers the layout flexibility to design smaller equipment that maximizes factory floor space for end customers. These devices enable low current operation on a 3.3 V/5 V power supply with high noise-tolerance CMR: 50 kV/µs (min) and high temperature operation up to Ta=125°C (RV1S9160A, RV1S9060A) in a logic interface circuit.
