The PWM controller on the SAM3U integrates new features that are particularly useful for motor control applications, such as PDC support, complementary outputs, fault inputs providing asynchronous protection of PWM outputs and dead-time generators. It is also possible to drive the power management controller when the crystal oscillator fails, thus providing protection for the different PWM outputs.
