Souriau's UTL series 4-position connectors with backshells are an expansion of the existing UTL series line. These connectors are intermateable and interchangeable with the existing UTL 4-position connectors. The UTL series plastic connectors are well-suited for outdoor lighting and industrial applications thanks to a high sealing performance (IP68/IP69K) and an extreme UV resistance with F1 material per UL746C.
Designed and qualified according to the UL1977 and IEC61984 standards, the UTL connector series offers a 5VA flammability rating, hot wire, and current breaking capacity to meet all standards of industrial equipment. A unique technical concept prevents the ingress of system-damaging condensation into the equipment, preventing moisture within the systems over time. The push-and-press-to-release coupling system with audible click allows customers a quick and proper connection even in blind conditions.
The UTL is compliant with RS485, DMX, and DALI protocols which guarantee an easy implementation of the connector on electrical architecture. They are available with a large choice of shells, contact types, and in a field installation version with screw contact termination which allows users to terminate the cable assembly in the field with only one screwdriver for a flexible and easy solution.
