With highly accurate distance measurements from 10 cm to 200 cm, this sensor is designed for distance mapping and for 3D imaging technology. The fully integrated microelectronic device has an embedded sensor and 850 nm vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) as well as eye safe invisible infrared (IR) illumination using a Class 1 laser emitter. This sensor comes in a very compact 4.8 mm x 2.8 mm x 1 mm package and has an operating temperature range of -10°C to +60°C. The RFD77402 sensor module was designed for ToF, 3D imaging, and gesture recognition applications.
