The PIC32CM GC family from Microchip is tailored for embedded systems that require low-power operation, flexible serial interfaces, and enhanced user interface capabilities. Built on the Arm Cortex-M23 core, these MCUs integrate multiple SERCOM modules for USART, SPI, and I2C, along with advanced analog and capacitive touch support for human-machine interface (HMI) designs.
The GC series emphasizes predictable peripheral configuration and safe Flash programming. Enabling protected registers, synchronization flags, and structured NVM operations helps prevent runtime errors and ensure reliable firmware updates. This makes the PIC32CM GC ideal for applications requiring deterministic behavior and robust field upgrades.
