There is a nickel barrier for solder wicking prevention, a tactile click feeling when closed, and a smooth FPC/FFC insertion. The actuator is securely held in place during rotation making it highly reliable and strong against dust attachment, vibration, and shock. To improve FPC/FFC insertion, the patent pending design reduces assembly failure as the FPC/FFC lies over the side-catcher if inserted at an angle or not to the end. Additionally, Hirose’s design enables horizontal FPC/FFC insertion.
