The reason for plenum cable jacket construction is due to its special plastics properties that resist sweltering and the spreading of toxic fumes in case of a fire. These cables are equipped with RJ45 modular plugs on each end with snagless boots to protect the RJ45 clip during pulls through tight locations and can span distances from 3 feet to 30 feet depending on which cable selected.
