ASAKDV/ASDKDV/ASEKDV Series Crystal Oscillators

Abracon's ASAKDV, ASDKDV, and ASEKDV series oscillators are ideal for low-power designs requiring devices with extremely low supply current and unwavering operation throughout a battery’s life span, particularly portable and battery-operated applications.

These 32.768 kHz quartz crystal oscillators can continuously operate across a 1.62 V to 3.63 V voltage range. The continuous voltage operation provides lower current consumption and reduces overall component count, yielding a reduced overall system power budget while minimizing design work. In other words, the same oscillator is qualifiable across multiple sockets utilizing the same frequency while removing the dependency of an LDO to regulate supply voltage, freeing up board space for other key components and extending battery life. These oscillators can drive multiple loads and typically exhibit better EMI performance compared to commodity crystal oscillator solutions.

These 32.768 kHz continuous voltage SMD oscillators are recommended for consumer wearables, cameras, laptops, and high-speed video designs. They are also suitable for use in temperature data loggers for energy smart metering. These series are compatible with CMOS and LVCMOS output waveforms. The collection features common operating temperatures and stability options. The devices are available in package sizes, ranging from 2.0 mm x 1.6 mm x 0.8 mm to 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm x 1.2 mm, with stabilities down to ±20 ppm. Output enable/start and disable/stop functions included.

Abracon’s miniature (1.6 mm x 1.2 mm x 0.6 mm) ASAKMP series also has part numbers available with a 1.60 V to 3.63 V power supply voltage option.
