X1/Y1 EMI/Safety Film Capacitor - R4Y Series

KEMET's R4Y film capacitor is a Y1-certified EMI suppression capacitor constructed of metallized polypropylene film encapsulated with self-extinguishing resin in a box of material meeting the requirements of UL 94 V-0. These capacitors offer excellent performance in harsh environments, high temperatures, reliability, and miniaturization. R4Y capacitors can withstand harsher environments and higher temperatures with an extended lifetime. A wider range of capacitance and smaller sizes give customers more design flexibility in their applications.

R4Y series is the first-to-market Y1 EMI suppression capacitor capable of reaching an extended service life of up to 2k hrs (at 500 V_AC) or 1k hrs (at 750 V_AC) when exposed to an operating temperature of +125°C. Also, this series is the only robust Y1 EMI suppression capacitor in the market that offers excellent harsh-environment capability at rated AC voltage.
