Image of ams OSRAM AS5030 8-Bit Rotary Sensor ams OSRAM's AS5030 contactless magnetic rotary encoder / rotary position sensor is designed for absolute angular measurement for a full 360 degrees. This sensor was designed for on-axis applications where a simple 2-pole magnet rotates above or below the device. The absolute magnet angular position is measured with a resolution of 8 bit = 256 positions per revolution and is provided as a digital value on the serial interface (SSI) and on the PWM output signal. The sensor comes in a TSSOP package with very wide temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.The AS5030 is perfect for motor position, robotics, and human machine interface.
