EMI is electromagnetic interference. There are many standards, based on regions and applications, of which CISPR 22 Class B is one of the more restrictive standards. EMI comes from high power switching action. Filters can be designed to reduce radiated EMI to protect the supply and load. The LMZ36002 is compliant with EN55022 Class B radiated emissions without additional filtering. The two graphs on the right side of this slide show typical examples of radiated emissions plots for the LMZ36002 operating from 24 V and 48 V. Both graphs include the plots of the antenna in the horizontal and vertical positions.
