TDK’s CLL or “ULI Type” Series is offered in EIA case sizes ranging from 0603 to 0805, capacitance ratings up to 4.7µF, and voltage ratings from 4V to 10V. It also features temperature characteristics such as X7R and X7S. The CLL series has an eight terminal design with alternating current flow that allows the generated magnetic fields to cancel out. In addition, each of its inner electrode layers have only one tab to connect to the terminal electrode. This unique design is only offered in TDK’s CLL Series and should not be confused with a four element array capacitor. The ESL level of this ULI Type is one eighth times that of a standard capacitor, and is designated as the ultra low inductance series.
