The AE-CLOUD2 kit provides cellular connectivity by utilizing the Quectel BG96 modem installed on a cellular Arduino Shield board. The shield uses the Quectel BG96 cellular module based on the Qualcomm MDM9206 chipset. The cellular shield includes a slot for a SIM card and can also support an e-SIM. The shield has connectors for external antennas in order to improve the reception and performance for cellular and GPS. The status LEDs on the shield indicate the power, cellular network connectivity, and operation status for the shield.
