These colors can be used to greatly expand the color mixing range beyond the standard RGB mix, and are found in items from emergency vehicle lights to the Times Square NYE ball. LUXEON Z color LEDs are small, high power devices which give users additional freedom of design due to their wide color range and small, 2.2mm, package. An advantage of the LUXEON Z package is the ability to place them as close as 200µm apart, allowing the user to inert multiple emitters in a very small space. The LUXEON Z is a non-domed LED, offering a more collimated light than the domed style package.
