JHL and JHM Series DC/DC Converters

XP Power's 3 W, 6 W, and 15 W medical DC/DC converters offer 2 x MOPP and patient leakage to 2 µA

Image of XP Power JHL and JHM Series DC/DC ConvertersXP Power’s JHL and JHM series of encapsulated, isolated, and regulated DC-DC converters are approved for medical applications. Available with single and dual outputs, the 3 W JHL03, the 6 W JHL06, and the 15 W JHM15 are all packaged in industry-standard format cases. Their size is model dependent, ranging from an industry standard DIP-24 for the JHL03 and JHL06 through to 40.6 mm x 25.4 mm x 10.2 mm for the JHM15 series.

All models are approved to the 3rd edition international medical safety standards EN60601-1:2006 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1:2005, feature a low 2 µA maximum patient leakage current, and offer 2x means of patient protection (2 x MOPP). They also have a double / reinforced isolation barrier that provides 4000 VAC maximum input to output isolation for one minute with a 250 VAC working voltage.

The JHL03 and JHL06 series single output models are available with 5 VDC, 12 VDC, or 15 VDC and duals ±12 VDC or ±15 VDC. Two input range variants are available across the JHL series, 10-17 VDC or 20-30 VDC, accommodating nominal 12 VDC or 24 VDC applications.

The JHM15 series comprises two 2:1 input voltage range options of 9-18 VDC or 18-36 VDC. Singles provide 5 VDC, 12 VDC, or 15 VDC and duals ±5 VDC, ±12 VDC, or ±15 VDC models.
