Overview
The KEMET SH coils are common mode chokes with
a wide variety of characteristics. These through-hole
toroidalcoilsaresuitablefornoisecountermeasurein
DC power line circuits.

Handling Precautions
Precautions for product storage
DCLineFiltersshouldbestoredinnormalworkingenvironments.Whilethechokesthemselvesarequiterobustinother
environments,solderabilitywillbedegradedbyexposuretohightemperatures,highhumidity,corrosiveatmospheres,and
long term storage.
KEMETrecommendsthatmaximumstoragetemperaturenotexceed40°Candmaximumstoragehumiditynotexceed70%
relativehumidity.Atmospheresshouldbefreeofchlorineandsulfurbearingcompounds.Temperaturefluctuationsshould
beminimizedtoavoidcondensationontheparts.Donotstorenearstrongmagneticfields,asthismightmagnetizethe
product.
Foroptimizedsolderability,DClinefilterstockshouldbeusedpromptly,preferablywithinsixmonthsofreceipt.
Product temperature rise values
The values listed for temperature rise are the result of self-heating in wires when the rated current (commercial frequency)
isapplied.Whenusing,checkandevaluatethevalueofthecoretemperatureriseunderactualoperatingconditions.
Export Control
For customers in Japan
Forproductsthatarecontrolleditemssubjecttothe“ForeignExchangeandForeignTradeLaw”ofJapan,theexportlicense
specifiedbythelawisrequiredforexport.
For customers outside Japan
