Wolfspeed's board enables users to evaluate the 650 V silicon carbide MOSFETs and Schottky diodes

The board can be configured to run as a buck or boost converter in synchronous or asynchronous modes. Users can begin testing within minutes of unpackaging the kit.

Features
  • Designed to enable measurement of:
    • Timing: TDelay-On, TDelay-Off, TRise, and TFall
    • Overshoot: VDS-Max and ID-Max
    • Speed: di/dt and dv/dt
    • Switching loss: EON, EOFF, and ERR
    • Efficiency during operation: up to 2.5 kW
  • DC input/output voltage: 450 V (max.)
  • Power (max.): 2.5 kW at 100 kHz (limited by the onboard inductor, higher levels are possible with an alternate inductor)
  • Compatible with TO-247-4 and TO-247-3 SiC MOSFETs
  • Compatible with TO-247 and TO-220 SiC Schottky diodes
  • Dedicated gate drivers and isolated power supplies for each C3M SiC MOSFET
  • Optimized locations for scope probe measurements of drain current (VGS, VDS, and IS)
  • Synchronous and asynchronous buck and boost topologies supported
